First bucket list restaurant in Paris, frequented by Anthony Bourdain. It's a traditional French bistro with indoor and outdoor seating. It's very quaint, but popular and busy.
The service was excellent with several people assisting. I had to order the restaurant namesake and also Bourdain's favorite, the grilled pork trotters. I had never eaten pig's feet this way before, but it was delicious and very filling.
Highly recommended to anyone visiting Paris.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mel D.Las Vegas, United States17769725 Feb 2024
We were extremely jet lagged and woke up at 3am, hungry. Most places were closed but the Uber arrived within 2 minutes and took us to this restaurant we found on Yelp. This place is very popular. When we arrived we were told by security that they were filming, when I realized that wasn't true we stuck around. We were eventually let in along with another group who was also waiting outside after a few crowds left.
We decided to order the seafood platter since I usually order it if it's on a menu. The seafood platter didn't taste fresh at all. The French onion soup was delicious and so was their Suzette sundae.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 22 Nov 2023
This restaurant was so much fun to dine in. It leans into an almost kitschy, old-school French bistro vibe but centered around everything pork (the restaurant's name is literally Pig's Foot). The menu is teeming with little pig sketches, the dessert comes with complimentary pink meringue pigs, and even the bathroom handle is a pig's foot.
I ordered the Temptation of St. Anthony because I wanted to try all nonconventional cuts of the pig-- tail, ear, snout, and trotter. Anthony Bourdain ordered the same dish on his program No Reservations! It was incredibly indulgent, so much so that towards the end of my meal it felt like lard was running through my veins. The side salad deserves a shoutout because without those greens I probably would've keeled over from eating too much fat.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 5226562130 Dec 2023
I have always gone to the one in Montreal with the same name, must try the original. Without reservation there's a wait depends on the time of the year and the wait time will
change. I got the seafood platter and it was divine!! The onion soup is a large portion base on the French portion. Food was awesome and it is good to see local Parisiens come here with friends as well. It is definitely worth a stop if you are in Chatelet area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 8 Mar 2024
We had a very reasonable dinner here. We weren't that adventurous, the kids had the fish and chips and "steak". The steak was really just a hamburger but they liked it. The vegetable platter was good and the pork tenderloin was very good. The duck fois gras was good as well. Overall I would say this was good but by no means great. A solid three stars.

It's an Anthony Bordain recommendation but with all due respect I was not impressed. The food ok but I not raving about it. The ambiance is busy of a typical IG / Yelp restaurant.

The first restaurant I tried in Paris! We picked it because we arrived pretty late that Sunday and it was walking distance from our hotel. We made a reservation prior and luckily we did because it was pretty busy that night. Apparently this restaurant is known for their French onion soup, so we had to order that. We also got the candied pork, deli ham, mussels and a bottle of their wine.
Loved their mussels and the wine was great. The French onion soup was good too but wouldn't say it was the best I ever had. The interior was lovely and so was our server. Definitely felt like a true French experience!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 26 Oct 2023
We randomly found this spot on Yelp, which happened to be close to our hotel. We were unable to nab last minute reservations but we got there at around 6:40 pm on a Tuesday and they were able to seat us outside.
To start, I had an aperol spritz mocktail, which was really good. It tasted like an actual spritz, which made me suspicious if they really did use alcohol-free alcohol. For food, we shared:
Bone marrow (snails fricassee with garlic cream) - I have mixed reviews about this one. On one hand, the garlic cream was good, albeit very rich. On the other hand, I feel like it covered up the natural bone marrow taste.
3 oysters - I can't remember which type we got but these were pretty standard. It's served w a mignonette and some brown bread
Périgord-style stuffed pork's trotter (mushrooms, new potatoes) - the trotter was meh but the mushrooms were perfectly done. The texture was great and it had lots of flavor
The Temptation of Saint Anthony, Patron of the Butchers (breaded pork's tail, ear, snout and trotter served with Béarnaise sauce and homemade French fries) - I'm all for trying different parts of the animal but this wasn't it for me. I wasn't really sure what to expect but it was mainly fat and skin. Most of it was pretty salty. It wasn't worth it for €27.50. The only thing I enjoyed from that plate was the frisee salad.
Overall, it was a pretty heavy meal, and it wasn't cheap. If you still want to check it out, I would recommend going for drinks and apps because the entrees are very rich.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Maria P.Fremont, United States0164224 Mar 2024
A must when you're in Paris! Wonderful, funny, and warm waiters, excellent food, and energetic vibe. Ate there on our last night in Paris and so glad we did. Excellent value.

This place is a must when you come to Paris. I tried to limit myself to French cuisine when I was there and this was my favorite place that I tried. It was recommended to me by my friend who lives in Paris, so I knew it was a solid reco. Bonus: it's walking distance from the Louvre, so it's a nice little afternoon to come here for lunch, then walk it off at the museum after.
They have all the French classics:
- Onion soup
- Frogs' legs
- Escargots
- Foie gras
We ordered one of everything and it was a delight. My favorites were the onion soup and the fois gras. The escargots were great in flavor, but slightly tough. The frogs' legs were good, too, but not outstanding.
Service was good and it didn't take long to be seated or get food, and as others mentioned, they speak English.
Would definitely return!Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0
