Debenhams is in the shopping heartland of Norwich. Opposite Marks and Spencer, and at the tip of the pedestrianised bit. as a department store chain it's had its ups and downs. Not quite up there with John Lewis or a House of Fraser, and constantly having to deal with BHS snapping at its heels. But, it does have a reasonable menswear department in the basement that's always worth a look, especially when they're running one of their blue cross sales and the prices drop by 70%. That's the time to pick up some real bargains. And when you're done head to the top floor for some mega bargains in the kitchens and electricals.
There's a Game concession in the store too. Norwich's fourth

This is a department store based right in the centre of the city. It has a few floors filled with different departments of items and clothing that they sell.
These include mens, ladies and childrens clothing, homeware, gifts and cosmetics and fragrances.
This is a very well displayed and neat, tidy store. They also employ many members of staff which are always around the store available to help you whenever it's needed.
The clothes department do stock alot of designer items and I've found these to be quite pricey although there are some good bargains to be had at one of their many sales throughout the year. They often have blue cross days which is 25% off throughout the entire store.

This is a large department store right in the city centre of Norwich. It sells a lot of cosmetics, clothing for ladies, gents and childrens. It also sells gifts, toys and household items including bedding etc. They also have a lovely wedding department. The clothing department has various brands including Pineapple, Warehouse, Oasis etc and they stock a good range of shoes. The prices are however a little more than what you may expect to pay. They do excellent sales and that is a good time to have a look at in the store, especially at the jewellery department.
The store has a great atmosphere, especially at Christmas time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are however very busy so you may have to wait a short time for a team member to become free.
There are nice toilets within the store which include baby change.

I would just like to say that the two ladies who were in the shoe department certainly went the extra mile today! I had been looking around for an outfit for my eldest daughters' wedding, got the dress and the accessories and went down to the shoe department to see what there was to offer, unfortunately couldn't see anything I wanted, but worked out for my youngest daughter for the bridesmaids dresses a pair of beautiful sandals, but whilst holding on to my dress etc, etc, one of the ladies said she would find out if they done a wrap service to stop my dress getting creased, they were so thoughtful and caring and nothing seem to be too much trouble, so I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to both of them making my shopping experience special. Well done.

Debenhams is great! They have an enormous make-up and fragrance area and often have deals on where you can get freebies! Brilliant! I enjoy wandering through their ladies' fashion area as well as they have high street names and some lovely ball dresses. And don't forget the hats! But one of the best things about this store is when they have a sale on. Loads of stuff and get in there quick and you'll find some regular sizes!

Debs is great for its location and variety, but I always find it soso hot! I also have problems locating what I want, and the staff tend to send you to a floor rather than actually take you to a section. I tend not to use it, which is a pity as I generally like debenhams.
When I do go there, I keep it to the ground floor: shoes. the shoes are fab and they have loads. also on womenswear floor. also their cosmetics section is great, and the sales assistants dont attack you with several different perfumes which is always nice.
they have alift at the back of the store, which is handy.
there is also a small Game concessionary up on the toy/kids floor, which is usually always quiet and makes a change from the crowds in other stores.

Wow what a shop. Anything and everything is on sale here. All the great labels and there are frequent sales on. Excellent kids designer clothing which is difficult to find elsewhere. Really huge store, so no matter how busy you never feel cramped. Great toy shop too. Has a nice restaurant and great facilities - you could spend hours here. If you get a debenhams card they send you fantastic offers - plus you get to go to the sales before the public and grab yourself a bargain.

This is a great designer department store that sells mens, womens, childrens clothing. Alot of them are designer names but I do find them rather pricey. On the other hand though they do have many sales throughout the year which can often bring down the prices alot. They also sell cosmetics, perfumes, gift sets, toys, underwear for women, items for your home and they have a wedding gift service available too. There is also a resturant on one of the floors which personally I have not tried but I have heard the food is nice.
They have several members of staff on each of the floors who are always friendly and willing to offer help if you need it.
They also have a video games section on the toys levels which is part of the Game company. This particular store is always busy especially during their sale periods but it's never felt like it's overcrowded. The sales they have are constantly throughout the year and there are always some good bargains to be had here.

Positioned right in the heart of Norwich this store is great for the end of the shopping trip, I know I will find something I like in here even if I have traipsed around every other shop in the city. The womans selection of clothes is vast, with top designers such as betty jackson, john rocha and julien MacDonald to name but a few. There is also Debenhams own ranges so whatever the occasion or budget you will be able to find it here.

The facilties in this store are ideal for mums with baby changing and a restaurant, however the lift seems to take forever and has a mind of its own so be prepared to wait on occasions.
