If you're American, you'll be very disappointed. Music is not Mexican but clubby and obnoxiously loud. Drinks outrageously priced at 15 Euro. Chips are not fresh... right out of a bag, and not good. Salsa tastes like ketchup. Guac has been whipped into near mousse like consistency (yuck) and is most definitely extracted from a gallon size food service bag. Nothing traditional about any of the food, but rather a Euro interpretation of what they think Mexican food is like. Tres Amigos fajitas were the least offensive item we ordered, and that's not an endorsement. The portion was OK, but it was a bit heavy on the veg to meat ratio. Chicken and beef and shrimp were marginal and most certainly previously frozen. Fajitas come with three definitely not warm or homemade tortillas right out of a plastic bag. More tortillas is an extra charge, but you won't even want the three they give you. There is about a tablespoon of forgettable tomatoey rice buried under the veggies. Veg was almost right but should not include zucchini. I doubt any real Mexicans live or work in the German Alps. It was about as regrettably poor as I expected, though I had truly hoped I might be pleasantly surprised. You will not find any cilantro or wonderfully crisp and salty, freshly fried tortilla chips glistening from the fryer basket that you can't stop eating before your meal here. You will not have any beautifully grilled and smoky, well seasoned meats with delightfully charred edges here. The salsa will make you cry and has no serrano pepper or grilled tomatoes or purple onion or lime or cilantro, and it will be served in quarter cup size ramekins. There is not a delightfully smoky cup of refried in lard pinto beans anywhere on this magazine-thick abomination of a menu. There is literally nothing fresh or authentic in this place. You're in the German Alps, have a sausage or kebap or something the Germans do reasonably well. This is a chain that is phoning it in and solely in business to separate Americans from their euros. Please, don't even think about it. Wait til you get home to LA or Austin or NYC or any other city in the U.S. I guarantee it will be worth the wait. You can thank me later. There is a wonderful little Greek spot called Alekos in Garmisch. Spend your money where they care about what they're serving.

Such great customer service, amazing food and HUGE drinks!!
My husband and I came here because the lady at the front desk said she wasn't a fan. Andddd we love going to places to contradict what others have to say about places.
First off, their chips and dips (there's a large amount to choose from) is amazing. My husband ordered that and two empanadas (beef) and garbanzo bean bites. I never tried the empanadas but my husband couldn't stop eating the two he ordered hahah!!
We then ordered burritos!! YES YES YES!! My husbands vegetarian one was stuffed with rice, loads of veggies and cheese. My beef one (gordito burrito) was jammed pack with beef, veggies and cheese!! It was sooo delicious!!
The staff was AMAZING! My daughter started to cry and a few staff members kept coming around the corner to play with her! Which was really sweet. The manager even gave her a toy which she absolutely loved.
Btw their "large drinks" are MEGA LARGE so be careful while ordering and specify the sizeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Erika S.Nagano-shi, Japan01219 Jun 2021
Horrible service and drinks! Except for the guy from Florida who actually helped us and didn't check his watch as he served us.

I've been to Sausalitos on a slow week day and the food was magnificent but however on a Saturday around 7 the service and food quality lacked significantly for me to not even want desserts. For a party of two we waited over a hour because they were short staff. This is an old review from back in February but it needs to be said because no else should have to be treated poorly for mediocre Mexican food.

The food was excellent. The pina colada that my wife ordered, tasted like pure milk with a hint of coconut. They could also do a little research as to, what ingredients go inside of a burrito. It was a fajita burrito. Chicken, onions and peppers. No rice or beans or guacamole.
All in all, the food was excellent. Just a few changes/upgrades.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan C.Sparks, United States12653110723 Sept 2017
Made reservations for over four people. Table was ready upon arrival. Drinks were good and service was fast and attentive. Had the chicken burrito, made to order and portion was large. Plenty of choices other than the staple Mexican type cuisine. Would return to try other items.

It was just okay, we ordered crunchy burger and their salad. Burger was overdosed with some sauce which was overflowing and it was very messy to eat. Salad was without dressing and was not good. Overall I can say that it was not a pleasant experience to try this.

Staff is friendly and nice. Service was fast. Definitely not Mexican, almost not even Tex-Mex, but the burrito I had was alright and the nachos were very cheesy and pretty tasty. The guacamole was good.
The menu has a lot of burgers and other bar foods. I'd be willing to go again and try something else.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather H.Baltimore, United States4847012824 Sept 2012
I wouldn't call it Mexican exactly....the menu overall is food you can get in the States, with a largely Mexican inspiration. Burgers, bbq, fajitas, burritos, etc. My burrito wasn't bad. The guacamole was pretty gross and I wouldn't order it again.
Meh. If you want a restaurant for a large group, or need a spot to meet up for margaritas, give it a go. I wouldn't expect anything authentic though.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Austin C.Farmers Branch, United States0629 Jul 2017
Only reason it's not 5 stars is the slow service. Order a refill? 20 minutes later I get the refill. The time between order and delivery of food was a little over an hour. But it was one of the best burritos I've had in Europe. Great margaritas too! And they had a decent kids section of chicken fingers that my picky son would actually eat
