      New Years Eve was just around the corner and my girls and I was STILL deciding on where to go to celebrate the new year!! So finally we decided to go to Decade New Years Eve Party.

      I'm so glad that my girls and i had the Sky Bar VIP Package!! Well worth it!! Tickets Includes:

      * General admission ticket
      * Access to hosted bar serving premium liquor
      * Express line entry

      I was soooo surprise because i wasnt expecting the crowd to be full of asian. But it turned out to be a great night!! NO drama whatsoever!! Everyone trying to have a good time for the new year!!!!!!

      The lady bartender on the 6th floor was a total sweetie!!! She made my drink how i requested it to her. and on the plus side I sooooo lucked out!! someone had turned in my driver's licensed and gave it to her and she handed it to me. What a way to end a new year with a fresh start!!

      Wow, I'm so so sad. This place used to be full of shops with very few vacancies. I guess the economy has really taken it's toll. I haven't been in awhile myself, I used to come all the time back 10 years, even 5 years ago. But lately not so much. Mostly I haven't really needed anything, or my girlfriends and I talk about it but never can coordinate a day to go. So I'd say it's been at least a year and a half since my last visit, and it's a ghost town....shocking how many vacant storefronts. But....
      Still some of my faves are there, S&G Silver has great stuff and good prices. And the owner Helen is lovely to work with on purchasing. Never pushy, she is just a lovely lady and I always make a point of stopping in her shop to see what she has, because theres so many beautiful pieces. Another good look for silver rings is Sam Davis (Sun silver) or Special Concepts. Many fine jewelry stores are still available:Steve Padis (got my diamond there, very nice and helpful). I also like to buy pearls for jewelry making and there's a few of the places I used to buy open, But like I said many shops are closed, and it's just not the same. Maybe one day soon the place will start to fill up again.

      Been here for a party once. It was pretty amazing.

      The place is like 4 stories with an elevator.

      Good place to do weddings or parties. They have a bar and an outside smoking area.

      There's so many separate entries for this place...but I think this category fits my experience the best.

      I came here for the Decade New Years Party. The strip mall was converted to hold the clubbing event. It was great. I thoroughly enjoyed this place because it was nice and airy since the mall has four stories. Also, there were plenty of places to sit...the two things that really make me happy at a club.

      For the actual event, it was pretty fun too. Even though none of us expected it, the party was basically an Asian event. This didn't add or take away from the event. I don't care who is around me when I'm dancing. However, the music was good BUT there were a lot of a repeats. Also, the music cut out 5 minutes after midnight...WHAT THE! Apparently, someone tripped the stereo wire so the situation quickly fixed itself.

      The alcohol was a bit pricey (expected) and no free cups of water was given...

      There was one guy who lit a cigarette on the dance floor, but I yelled at him so he quickly ran away from me. I don't want to get accidentally burned or be breathing in toxic fumes while I celebrate the new year! I've got to be surrounded by positivity.

      GIFT CENTER PAVILLION

      I'd never heard of the Gift Center until I came here for the Decade New Year's Eve Party.

      Happy New Year 2009!!! As 2009 comes to a close, it's time to celebrate in style. Dinner first at Osha Thai and then off to the Gift Center, where there was 6 stories of spectacle and fun! We had bottle service on the 4th floor right next to the hanging balloons, so it was pretty cool to see them fall up close at the countdown. Here's to 2010!

      The place was HUGE!!! Decorations were beautiful and the place was big enough to hold a couple thousand people. Not much cramming, which was amazing!

      Not a bad place to hold an NYE party!

      A complete maze of jewelry stores. I came here to look for someone to resize my ring and I couldn't even find the exit.
