A classic spot in Metz to head for drinks. Lol can we just take a second to laugh at the name though? It's actually called "Irish pub". How creative. Lol. When ppl say "let's go to the Irish pub", I'm like ok sure, which one? "There's only one in Metz - the 'Irish pub'." LOL.
Anyhow! This place is small but you instantly feel at home and welcomed just as if you were in Ireland. Classics like Guinness and Kilkenny are on tap but also brewdog punk IPA - yes!
There is happy hour, there are TVs and peeps will be into the games and you will feel at home here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 16 Dec 2013First to Review
I saw the Guinness sign while walking around Metz. The Guinness was calling me... Stopped in for drinks while doing Metz' wonderful Marche Illuminee. The pub was nearly empty when we arrived at 1830. By the time we left at 1930 it was standing room only. The drinks were inexpensive and they've got a good selection of mixed countries' beers on tap along with some bottled drinks. This was the first time I've seen the pub (or I would have stopped in previously) but won't be the last time I visit! The bartender was quick, spoke perfect English and was very honest (I had mistakenly tried to pay him twice...).
