zero star rating for insulting me.
I visited Jane Wray hair dressers about a fortnight ago on a Saturday evening to get my hair done for a special occasion. I was given an an appointment for 5.15pm and I arrived promptly. After hanging around for about 20 minutes I inquired how much longer I would have to wait. The hair dresser said about 20 minutes more.
I was not offered a drink or an apology.
I asked for a trim about 1 cm and a wavy style blowdry. The girl ( who was new to the salon) snipped about 4 cm off my length which took a whole 2 minutes and started to grab the hair dryer. I asked if she was going to sort my fringe or layers. She replied, 'oh do you want me to that too?'
She snipped for another couple of minute, then rough dried my hair and started with a set of straighteners and back combing. I stopped her and said I wanted structured waves. The girl said' let me finish, she continued to tug and staighten and back comb for at least 20 minutes and started to get frustrated.
My hair looked awful! I was almost in tears. Another assistant then came over and asked if she could wash my hair again and dry them again. So I was back at the basin. It was now almost 6.45 p.m.
I came out exhausted after 7pm. Had not been offerred a drink or apology.
I am hard of hearing so my daughter rang Jane Wray to complain on my behalf. Jane insulted me further by saying that I had been changing my mind about what I wanted. She needs to employ decent hairdressers and not anyone willing to chop hair! I might be hard of hearing but I'm not stupid. Jane has no respect for my disability.
She needs to get her facts right before insulting me.
