L'Élysée Saint Honoré

I've been ripped off in Paris a few times, so you'd think we'd be wise to it now, but no. In an attempt to get a quick bite to eat before going out, we opting for a small friendly-looking bistro rather than the upmarket restaurant across the road, not wishing to blow EUR40 a head on dinner. There was no menu, so we ordered from the waiter who read out what was on offer, without prices of course.


The food was fairly dreadful, overcooked, chewy, and served worryingly quickly. And what had we paid? EUR30 for 3 tiny lamb chops, and 2 beers for EUR18! Oh dear, oh dear. Please don't make the same mistake as us.

Excellent spot for the adventurous tourist who want to meet done locals. We were treated to unique Corsican delights of cheese and curd meets on a slate. The earthy taste notes of these treats were delightful vs the sterile flavors of your typical brasserie.
