I've been to Mary Green Manor three times over a long period of time and unfortunately this venue has so much to offer however in my opinion (which to be frank counts to me) the food (again) comes up short.
A gorgeous venue with very polite and helpful staff. Our waiter Vic has been there for years and is very attentive,
very pleasant and quite amusing at times too.
But unfortunately the food has potential to improve, the pasta was poor, one beef steak wasn't cooked to our requirement although Vic offered to send it back (the other was very good indeed). Fish was apparently very good.
Temperature in the restaurant was very warm to start and got hot pretty quickly. Aircon was only switched on when we asked although you'd expect an establishment of this calibre to have the temperature evenly controlled throughout the evening.
We had a great evening but the food really needs to go up a level to get 4stars, let alone 5Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danielle C.Doddinghurst, United Kingdom19415 Mar 2015First to Review

Great food, if you can't decide I definitely recommend the six course tasting menu and accompanying wine pairing for each course.
