On my recent tour of Italy, Mercure was one of four hotels I stayed in, and was an enjoyable experience. I've stayed in a Mercure in Paris, so I knew to expect a kind of standard room with everything I need and nothing I didn't! The bed was comfortable enough and the wifi was fast.
Some people in my party took issue with the fact that there was no air conditioning to be had, as it was turned off for the entire hotel for the season. I was comfortable, but it may be a good idea for the hotel to have a couple box fans on deck for those that like to sleep cold.
Oh, and as a PSA, there is an elementary school across the street, and during school hours you will hear screaming children. Kinda weird if you don't know where it's coming from, like I didn't for the first two days.
This hotel isn't too close to anything worth seeing, but there was always a cab out front to take us to wherever we wanted to go.
My favorite aspect of this hotel was the bar scene! It was always a good time every night, and the bartenders were so personable and adorable. Get the Aperol Spritz!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 5 Dec 2016
I had a really enjoyable experience at this hotel. It's about a 5 minute walk from the metro. The employees here were all awesome. The room itself was great. The bed was super comfortable. The hotel staff knew that we had a toddler and there was crib already set up for us when we arrived. The bathroom was a good size as well. The complimentary breakfast was enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to return if I ever came back to Rome.

This was our favorite food in Italy!!! So fresh and made from scratch. The ravioli with cream truffle sauce was out of this world. I highly recommend to anyone in Rome!

Not bad for USA travelers... Not near major tourist attractions but very close to the Metro Train Station of Bologna. Breakfast was the only issue... Runny eggs and bacon that was either burnt or fatty.

Very close to the metro, good breakfast, English speaking front desk and a good breakfast. Walk out the front door walk down the street and on the right hand side is the best pizza you'll ever have. I don't remember the name of it, but you'll know at the right one when they weigh your pizza.
