This is a good place to stay if you're on a tight budget. The rooms are well under $100 a night, and some will sleep up to 3. Not a bad deal for sure. However, here are some items to consider:
      - there is no AC
      - the front desk people are not helpful at all
      - they didn't give us the room combos we requested
      - it's in a bad part of town & not near any attractions
      - wifi works well in some rooms and not others

So basically, you need to factor in a taxi ride to get anywhere, unless you're OK walking a few blocks to public transportation. However, keep this in mind: the hotel has an entire corner of hookers just outside. No kidding.... so this really makes me wonder about the $60.00 room, and whether or not I want to slip into those sheets.

So - good on the wallet. But I'd say not a super place for young families. Breakfast was convenient in the lobby, not sure if it was worth the 7.5 euros. But we did take advantage of it every day.

Lobby - very small and spare

This was a nice hotel right outside of city center Berlin. It great if you're going to see the place and you have a tight budget, but we were just being cheap since. For what you pay its not a bad hotel. Yes its in a "shady" part of town but its only "shady" by snobby American standards. Just ignore all things you don't intend to take part in around the hotel and go on with your life. There's even some really good places to eat around here.

Shady area, Poor service, Wonky wifi

My room card stopped working five times, every time the receptionist asked me how long I was going to stay, as if they didn't know.

Save your money, any hostel or Airbnb is better for the price.

I'd give 3.5-star rating, but it is not possible and I don't really feel it like giving 4 stars, so I'm leaving it with three.

So, it is located right next to U2 Bulowstr station, which is a short ride away from the centre.

It is a rather big hotel, it claims having more than 100 rooms. Speaking of rooms, mine was spacious, well heated, with tv and free wi-fi. Comfy beds and clean sheets. There wasn't fridge, though.

However (don't you just hate this word?), there was shortage of hot water, not really good. And I wouldn't really call the reception guys nice - I mean they weren't rude, but they lacked eye contact with guests and were more interested in their paperwork rather than looking me in the eyes.

      Some useful tips:
Breakfast isnt't included and costs 7.50€ ... not sure it was well worth it, but try it once and decide for yourself.

Some rooms are facing the main street with the U2 train line over the ground - train noise to be expected every 5-10 mins. I would recommend asking the hotel for a more quite room prior to arrival.

We paid ridiculously low price, real bargain, and I would stay here again for the same price.

Front desk staff are poorly informed in hotel matters. You're better off flipping a coin for answers.

As of Nov 2014 the construction immediately next door starts early in the morning and lasts all day.

The Do Not Disturb signs seem to be completely ignored by cleaning staff.
