This is a trendy place and it is huge for a "pub". There are multiple rooms with a large alcohol selection. I can't rate the food because I didn't try any. The wine selection ranges from cheap to expensive so everyone can enjoy. I gave the service 5/5 because they spoke English well and they were happy to charge my phone when I asked them. Oh and because the server was attentive as well. The bar is in quite a happening place of town and therefore quite busy. We had a table near the window so the scenery outside was beautiful. The decor was a mixture of trendy and classic so it was quite different from what I've seen. Definitely does not remind me of a "pub" in the States.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 29 Oct 2014
We were a large diverse group and they served us well. The "pub" is designed for people to share a good time. Certain drinks are served "community" style.
Great looking servers provide excellent service. Don't expect a cheap experience. It's fun.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason R.Los Altos, United States22118830125 Apr 2013
Pub is a bit of a misnomer if you experience it like we did -- enjoying wine and Parisian tapas al fresco on a couple of fine early-spring afternoons. About as far-removed from my mental image of a 'pub' -- warm pints, dark dark nights -- as I can imagine.
It is a couple euros pricier than I'm accustomed to, but this is one of the quainter streets/galleries in Saint Germain. Great bistro-style food, and the wine-list has a few welcome surprises. The service was the best we've had in central Paris--friendly, efficient, witty without being snarky.

This review is for the ambiance and the happy hour drink specials.
We stumbled accidentally upon Pub Saint Germain while looking for a place to warm up after exploring Paris in the early evening.
It looked like a trendy, yet comfortable place with an empty table looking out into the street, so we gave it a try. I really enjoyed the lighting and the decor, very intimate. The DJ was playing great music to match the mood of the evening.
The waiter was very friendly, spoke great English, and allowed us to review their cocktail menu for as much time as we needed.
I got the cranberry julep. It was nice. The makers mark was subtle but well represented. Beautiful garnish.
The waiter also gave us some olives and peanuts to snack on.
We're not typically the type of people to frequent trendy places, but I think I would make an exception for Pub Saint Germain again because of the decent happy hour prices, warm atmosphere, and great views of the street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David A.Paris, France1183873122 Jul 2012
Young, loud, often packed (primarily with tourists and foreign students), cool, with ok drinks and terrible food.
In words, basically depends who you are and what you're looking for.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jeremy S.New Orleans, United States1193527327 Nov 2011
The main floor is really beautiful but the effort seems to wain with every floor you travel up after that. We had their 'Saint Germain original' cocktail and decided it tasted like a litter box smells; it's inedible berry garnish raised a lot of eyebrows.
We didn't have the food, but the menu looked decent enough. Then again, so did the first floor, but that's not what we ended up with.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Danielle J.West Village, Manhattan, United States2105731021 Jun 2011
Had bookmarked this place to try for happy hour and ended up stumbling upon it - due to iphone not working in france! :(
Tried Tennessee on St. Germain first as it was absolutely packed without a spare table to be seen - and after that sucked (used dark rum in the pina colada, and just bad all around), we ended up heading back here.
GREAT drinks - SO worth the 1+ euro vs. TN (6 euros here), huge space (went up 3 flights to use the restroom, but they have a terrace at the back entrance, and also a lounge in the back, and bar area in the front) - and super sweet cocktailer(s) (ours was anyway).
Will definitely be back if we have time! The Flavored pina (banana) was great - as was my boyfriends girly bubble rhum.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chum L.Oakland, United States2463061906 Dec 2011
All I remember of this place is the overpriced drinks, multi level bar, peanuts (?) and red room. The only thing you need to remember is FREE WeeFee!

This place sucks. Big time. It sucks so much that you'd need to place a small black hole just in front of it to counteract the force of suction.
I had my birthday party here and brought along 50 people from London. Overall we had a great time but the service and prices were terrible. My cheeseburger cost 18EUR. 18 euros!!! Ridiculous! It was no better than one I'd get in a JD Wetherspoon pub back in London for £5.99. Drinks were also horrendously expensive.
At the end of the night there was an additional 400EUR to settle, which I had to pay myself, because they hadn't been keeping tab of who had ordered what despite us being on seperate tables and occupying 1/4 of the pub.
It's such a shame. This is so typical of Parisien bars. The decor is lovely and the place has loads of potential but they are more concerned with being fashionable than they are with serving quality food and drink. I'll never go there again as a result.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
