Right In the Heart of Berlin :) Charming, Delightful, & Delicious! my Husband & I spent a busy 5 days touring in Berlin & this was by far our favorite spot! We were determined to find some authentic German food that we craved & This checked all the boxes & More! This little European Gem was 1 of our favorite experiences in Berlin. We sat out side in the adorable garden that was such a relaxing pleasure. Enjoyed a tasty German beer followed by the most delicious kalbsschnitzel & Hollandaise we have ever tasted, along with local asparagus, & scrumptious potatoes that melted in your mouth. The Service was warm & welcoming, and the Apple streusel with fresh creme was out of this world! Highly recommended If you are ever in Berlin.

The staff is so sweet, and we were a big group! The ribs were out of this world! I would recommend them! Better than the usual US ribs- trust me you won't be disappointed.

Always a favorite stop, this classic kneipe has a beautiful wooden interior, tasteful antique fixtures, and a lovely little dining garden in back. The food is solid German fare, focused on seasonal veggies and generous portions of meat. The schnitzel is on point. Great beers on draft, a killer bar, and a nice wine list too. And all this tucked away on a quiet little street amid the touristy bustle of Mitte.

This small bar/resto is on our list every time we visit Berlin. It hasn't changed much through the years, ... luckily. Good house beer and authentic german food. We also like the no nonsense service. Don't miss this!

We had our first Berlin lunch in this cosy atrium restaurant. The place packed with old gadgets and the 10 meter high main wall covered in green. Nice! The "elderly" waitress recommended warm smoked asparagus sallad with strawberries and melted parmesan, together with a rose sparkling wine with a hint of strawberry - heavenly combination, even though I am not especially fond of rose. Do not miss this place!

Nice old fashioned german bar. The service is matter of fact and on their time not yours. But they warm up the longer you stay. They have two beers on draught - I was not familiar with the house beer and wasn't crazy about it either. I had the pork cheeks and enjoyed them a lot, accompanied by mashed potatoes since they had run out of the mashed bread :(. The goulash was a disappointment as the the meat tough. The ground beef/pork wrapped in cabbage was nice.
They have a back patio and its nice to sit outside if the weather permits. No cards accepted.
Overall, the food is decent if looking traditional ambiance and food in Mitte but don't come from across town expecting to be swooned.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
