So peaceful and serene. This is the perfect hike for beginners. Beautiful views and more than enough trails to try something new if you love nature. Great for anytime during the day.

Great place for a quick easy to moderate hike. Spring is a great time as everything is fresh and green. Wildflowers are still in bloom, thanks to the recent rains.

Parking lot is very small and fills up fast especially on the weekends or holidays. However, many people park alongside the main road. (Please be careful if you do).

The trails themselves aren't super long and for the most part there are several loops you can traverse. After the initial climb at the beginning it levels off with a few slight ups or downs depending on the loop you choose. An easy 1-1.5 hr hike for those that enjoy outdoor adventures, maybe a more moderate hike for those that don't.

Bikes are allowed as well as dogs on leash. You do pay a small usage fee and super it's easy to use. (No cash)

      Overall great place for families.

Such a fun little hike. I hiked it easily with my 5 month old in the carrier. Beautiful views. Saw lots of people bike riding too. Don't forget to get your parking ticket :)

I love this place. Challenging hike but doable for sure. If I could do this hike days before my delivery date, you can do it by yourself. It's worth it (most pretty in spring)

I like this park. The trails are maintained and rangers seem to do regular upkeep. Sometimes it's busy but it's big enough not to be crowded

Great place for hiking and mountain biking. Opens early and easy payment method. Parking is limited but folks also park outside the gate alongside the road. Dogs allowed on a leash and there is a small fee for pets. There is a paved road that service trucks use so be careful for vehicles. Morning hikes are great with the sunrise. The park reopened after shelter in place closers with social distancing guidelines posted. Mask are required but only a few have it on while actively doing physical activities.

Great place for a sunrise hike! The trails we took were moderate difficultly and we are NOT hikers. The views were breathtaking! It seems to be family friendly. The people we met at intervals were kind and welcoming. You can tell the community members who know about this place really appreciate it. Although the park was relatively clean, the bathrooms were very smelly, maps were faded, signs weren't in great shape or missing and QR codes around the park led to website errors. A bit of love and elbow grease is needed for the sake of newbies, but it was still an enjoyable morning hike!

Quite possibly the most beautiful hike in the North-East Bay!

I always recommend visiting at least a few hours before sunset, there's a beautiful lake if you can find it, the grade can be quite steep but the climb is the price you pay for such an enchanting view.

It's not far from civilization but you get the feeling that you are one with nature!
