It is not really royal in fact I would say it is the opposite! We booked it as a last minute thing, it seems to be falling apart! The room was a good size though for what we paid and we had a balcony, although it was more like 1 metre by 0.5 metre with horrible orange plastic as the railings! The food was alright, not brilliant. The carpet was very old fashioned, it seemed like something out of a scary film, perhaps the shining! It was ok though for a few nights. We never went in the swimming pool - it looked filthy. The staff were very friendly though.

This is an awful hotel! As soon as we arrived we longed to go home! At least the staff were friendly and helpful and tried to cheer guests up. The name of the hotel is very deceiving! I suppose when it was built it would have been nice. It is now a dump!

This hotel was one of the best hotels we have stayed in on a budget coach tour. The food was excellent, the staff pleasant and helpful, the room large and airy with a great sea view.Yes it needs redecorating, but the good points of this hotel more than made up for that.Would recommend it totally.
