Travelodge

Beware if you pre book a room at this hotel. I made a reservation on line & received confirmation only to be told on arrival that the hotel was fully booked & they had no record of our booking. After investigating further, staff agreed that the booking had been made (we had a booking reference number) but they were unable to accomodate us. It took almost 45 minutes to get to this point. The room had been booked for a special occassion (my other half's birthday) and we had planned a get together in a local pub with some friends. As a result, I couldn't drink as I had to be the designated driver and take everyone home :0(
The staff did not deal with the issue very well & no alternative was offered. If you do book a room here, I would phone the hotel direct just to double check they have your booking before you arrive.
