We are so grateful to the people who work at Bonaventure! The staff has been amazing!
Our family was distraught when the hospital ER workers told us that they recommended that Mom not go home alone, because they knew she was just going to fall again.
Mom was so upset when we even talked about the idea of moving, but we knew we could not live with ourselves if we ignored her problems any longer.
Mom swore she would not speak to us again, (we are three siblings) but we all just had to trust the experts at Bonaventure who told us that everything would be alright after a short adjustment time.
And they were right! It took almost a month until Mom admitted that she was happier than she had been in years! I recently went to visit her, to find she was out of the building, busy with new friends. I almost cried!
I wish we had made the move sooner!

We looked at a lot of retirement communities before choosing Arbor Place.
Our Mother has now lived there for 7 wonderful years and she considers Arbor Place to be her home, and the employees are like her family.
Like so many other people, our family was in a crisis when we realized Mother could no longer live alone. We thought our only options were to care for her ourselves, or send her to a Nursing Home...we were so wrong!
Arbor Place allows Mother to have her own apartment, and the freedom to be who she is. When we visit, we can spend quality time with our Mother now. And we had better call her ahead of time to make plans, because she is very busy with all of the activities and new friends!
The decision to have Mom move to Arbor Place has been one of the hardest but best decisions we have made as a family.
For all of you who are feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of moving your parents, I hope that you will let the loving staff of Arbor Place assist you.
I have written this testimony on Mother's 7 year anniversary at Arbor Place. I can't thank all of these people enough!

Just not a good company to deal with. They did not give an accurate quote, and then when questioned about the much higher bill, they threatened to bill even more than they had for the labor. The angry tech also threatened not to warranty the work for a year if I questioned him further.
Maybe because I am a woman, he thought I would just accept it.
Don't make the same mistake.
