Arrived in HK about 730pm and this was literally my first stop after dropping bags off at the hotel. Don't be scared off by the large group of ppl waiting outside. The waitlist moves quickly and the staff are very efficient. Be quick to grab a ticket from the monitor by indicating the number in your party. If you love hk style dessert soups like I do, this is paradise for you. So many options! I went for the walnut and black sesame mix. So silky! Very subtle sweetness that allows the nature flavors of the walnut the black sesame to shine. Prices for everything in hk have increased due to inflation, but still worth the $3-4!

This dessert place is popular among tourists and locals. Their black sesame dessert soup and glutinous rice balls were my favorite. It had good sesame flavor which usually lacks at places in the States and it wasn't overly sweet. The steamed egg had good texture but I prefer the taste of the one at Australian Dairy as it had more egg flavor.

I visited on weekday nights on two occasions and there were many people waiting for seats both times. There is a machine outside the place where you enter the number in your party and grab a ticket to queue. I found that ordering takeout was a lot quicker than waiting for a seat. The spending minimum for each person dining in is 20 HKD. Credit cards were accepted at my time of visit.

Dessert was delicious; but, service was lousy. They tried to rush you out. We understands there is a line outside and we were considerate and did not stay long. We just eat and run. But, they should not give attitude to rush you out even faster. Like I said, with all considered, dessert was authentic and yummy. Place is clean and ordering is easy and computerized. Will go and order out; but, not sit in.

This place is easy to find as long as you find the street where it's located. Look for a line in front of the shop. That's the place! It's known for their desserts, particularly the steamed egg pudding. We came here mainly for that.

We ordered, via mobile phone, a steamed egg pudding, and a couple of other desserts: snow mushroom soup and almond sweet soup. The steamed egg pudding tasted creamy and eggy as it should be. It was sweet, but not too sweet. The texture is much more silky and delicate than crème brûlée or flan if you're not familiar with this staple dessert in Hong Kong. It was really great!

The snow mushroom soup with quail eggs was also good. The translucent fungi may seem exotic to non-Asians. But they are often used in oriental desserts. They have a very soft and gooey texture. We liked it a lot also. The almond sweet soup was also very yummy and paired nicely with the black sesame paste.

The place was packed literally! As soon as we were done, we were ready to go because many people were still in line. But anyway we enjoyed the experience and the food! Give it a try if you don't mind the long wait!

Pretty solid place for HK traditional desserts.

I always opt for the black sesame tong yuen (glutinous rice balls filled with black sesame), hot black sesame paste soup, almond paste soup, and walnut paste soup. Sometimes I like to blend the black sesame paste with the almond or walnut paste depending on my mood.

Definitely a place I'd return to - make sure to go to the original location as there is a "sister" and "brother" location.

Went on a Friday around 2pm. There was no wait time to sit. You would sit and order on the QR code on the table. We got 4 different desserts. They all tasted really good and not too sweet. All different in their own way. The fruit tasted very fresh for the mango dessert. The restaurant was kept clean and the desserts came out in a timely manner.

Kai Kai desserts is a must visit when I come to Hong Kong! Their ginger broth warms me up from the inside, so delish! My husband always gets the sweet yams and I get their tong yuan (mochi). There's always a line out front but it moves fairly quickly. If you can't wait, get it to-go and you'll get your order quickly. You order from the QR code on each table and you have to pay the cashier first before you get your order. It's a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll enjoy your desserts! There is a HK$20 minimum for each person seated. Yes, I highly recommend this place for good traditional Chinese desserts!

Can here after dinner on a Saturday and the line was honestly not bad. We waited for around 15 mins which was just enough time for us to decide on what we want to order. Once we sat down our orders were taken and within minutes the desserts arrived at our table. The sesame paste wasn't as rich as I expected but the mango pamelo was delicious!! It was so rich with mango flavor and also had generous amounts of mango chunks. Would come back again just for the mango pamelo!

The desserts are very cheap and very good. It's Michelin guided and I think it's quality hasn't declined even due to that growth in popularity.
