Greco Pi is a small, hole in the wall, Greek take out in Wan Chai, in the Brim 24 food place, and it is well tasty -yummers! There are a few Greek restaurants in HK, but Greco Pi tout themselves as the the genuine article.
The specialities of the house are the souvlaki, which are basically grilled meat skewers, and souvlaki-pita, which are the afore mentioned meat skewers, but in a pita with salad, herbs, tzatziki and french fries (yep fries in the pita). I think the Americans call them gyros? These little tastes of heaven rock my world, oh yeah. They are a little bit on the pricey side for their size, at HKD68 for a lamb gyro, I usually need at least two and an extra side of fries to make a meal. However, they are expertly made, fresh off the grill, and frankly divine in taste!
As well as the grilled meats, there are sides of mezze dips, like humous and tzatziki, grilled feta cheese, fries. There are also other main courses like burger, Greek cheese or spinach pies, and Greek salad. The menu is small, but gives a good range of flavours.
My absolute best ever recommendation is the souvlaki-skepasti. This is two pieces of pita, made into a sandwich crammed with grilled meats, salad, herbs and french fries, which is then grilled again until all the sauces warm through and infuse the dish. It's so good, i'm getting hungry thinking about it right now! This dish is HKD118, so again, not the cheapest for "fast food".
Give it a go, the food is great. You can take out, or use the small terrace.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
